Dream Catchers are associated with the Native American Indian Culture.

There are many definitions of the dream catcher and their meanings.

The Ojibwa Chippewe tribe refer to dream catchers as ‘asabikeshiinh’ meaning spider.

My belief is that dream catchers thrived in the late 60s and were made by the grandmothers of the Sioux Native Indian tribe for their grandchildren; and these spider web creations were hung around the house, in particular above the bed to sift their dreams removing the negative from the positive.

The Dream catcher’s workshop will be a fun crafting activity making your own dream catcher for someone important to you or for yourself. We will undertake making them whilst listening to calm meditative music and at the end will (if you want to) incorporate a mediation into the process of completing your dream catcher.
