Bilberries are considered to be protective herbs. When used spiritually, they may be powdered or ground and sprinkled around the perimeter of your home or burnt as an incense to protect you unwanted spirits and help drive away negativity. 
 
When used as an incense it is said to generate luck and the acquisition of material desires or wealth. 
 
You can put it in a bag and carry it around with you when travelling to protect you from harm. It is also believed, in spirituality, that it can be effective when trying to prevent psychic  attacks, and de-hex a person of any spell or enchantment.
