Traditionally used as a skin freshener and astringent . Geranium is well loved in the world of skincare for its versatile properties that may be beneficial to a variety of skin types.
It is thought to be balancing for oily complexions and nourishing for dry skin; it is also a useful oil in hair care and may help promote volume and shine. Its beautifully sweet and floral fragrance is helpful in lifting spirits and balancing emotions.
Magickally: Chakra Balancing, Balancing Male & Female Energies.
To Use: Add a few drops to your shampoo or conditioner to help promote a healthy shine. Vaporise in a traditional burner to lift spirits. Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and use in massage to promote relaxation; particularly beneficial to women experiencing menstrual related stresses. Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a skin cream or lotion to help balance and restore the skin.
Blends Well With: You may find that Geranium blends particularly well with Angelica, Basil, Bergamot, Carrot Seed, Cedarwood, Citronella, Clary Sage, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Lavender, Lime, Neroli, Orange and Rosemary.
Safety: Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.
