Grapefruit Essential Oil has traditionally been used as an astringent skin conditioner. it makes a great addition to a massage blend if you're looking to detoxify and purify (often a popular choice of oil to help with hangovers!). It's naturally energising and uplifting scent is ideal for helping you stay focused and alert, so it may be particularly helpful to those studying or when you have a large workload to get through.
It's a lovely, fresh and fruity oil that is pleasing to most and blends beautifully with other oils. It is also renowned for its feel good properties and may be a useful oil to diffuse during the winter to help combat symptoms of S.A.D (Seasonal Adjustment Disorder).
Magickally: Mental clarity, cleansing and healing rituals, boosts magickal postency.
To Use: Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a base lotion or cream for use on oily skin types. Add a few drops to your shampoo to help refresh and revive. Place 3-4 drops onto a flannel and place at the base of your shower. Allow the steam from the hot water to diffuse the energising scent for a little pick-me-up in the morning. Enjoy a few drops diffused in a burner to help create a welcoming and comforting atmosphere in the home. Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and enjoy its uplifting and detoxifying properties in a massage.
Blends Well With: You may find that Grapefruit blends particularly well with bergamot, lavender, geranium, palmarosa and frankincense.
